Copyright Policy

This Copyright Policy outlines the intellectual property rights associated with Finlo and the Genssy brand. All content, design, source code, graphics, logos, icons, and other creative works associated with Finlo and Genssy are the exclusive property of Genssy and its developer, Raul Gutierrez Niubo, and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
1. Ownership
Genssy retains all right, title, and interest — including all intellectual property rights — in and to the Finlo application and all related materials. This includes, without limitation:
- The Finlo application software and all underlying source code, algorithms, and architecture
- The user interface design, including all screen layouts, navigation flows, visual elements, color schemes, typography, icons, and interactive components
- The Finlo name, logo, app icon, and all associated branding
- The Genssy name, logo, brand identity, and all associated trademarks
- All feature-specific designs, including the dashboard, expense tracker, budget system, bill organizer, split bill calculator, insights analytics, widget designs, dark mode theme, and Premium subscription interface
- All marketing materials, promotional content, App Store assets, screenshots, and website content
- All written content, including feature descriptions, legal documents, and support documentation
2. Trademarks
"Finlo" and "Genssy" are trademarks of Genssy. The Finlo app icon (featuring a stylized wallet design with a dollar sign on a teal gradient background) is a protected trademark. You may not use these marks in any manner that is likely to cause confusion, or in any manner that disparages or discredits Genssy, without prior written permission.
3. Permitted Use
You are granted the right to:
- Use Finlo for its intended purpose of personal finance tracking, budgeting, bill management, expense tracking, and related financial organization
- Take screenshots of your own data within the app for your personal records
- Share the App Store link to Finlo with others
- Reference the Finlo or Genssy name in reviews, articles, or editorial content, provided the use is fair and not misleading
4. Prohibited Use
Without prior written consent from Genssy, you may not:
- Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or re-create any part of the Finlo application, its user interface, or its design elements
- Distribute, sublicense, sell, resell, or transfer the application or any of its components
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the App or any of its content
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App
- Use the Finlo or Genssy name, logo, or app icon in any product, service, or application
- Use any of our copyrighted materials for commercial purposes, including in competing products or services
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notices, trademark notices, or other proprietary rights notices displayed in or on the App
- Use our screenshots, marketing images, or promotional materials without attribution or permission
5. User-Generated Content
All data you enter into Finlo — including your expenses, budgets, bills, income sources, notes, and configurations — remains your property. Genssy does not claim ownership over any user-generated content. As outlined in our Privacy Policy, we do not have access to your data.
6. Open-Source Components
Finlo may utilize certain open-source software components, each of which is subject to its own license terms. The use of open-source components does not affect or reduce Genssy's copyright in the original portions of the App.
7. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Notice
If you believe that any content available through Finlo or the Genssy website infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a notification pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or applicable local copyright law. Your notice should include:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- A description of where the allegedly infringing material is located
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
8. Enforcement
Genssy actively monitors and enforces its intellectual property rights. Unauthorized use of our copyrighted materials may result in legal action, including but not limited to claims for damages, injunctive relief, and recovery of legal fees.
